“Your outside world matches your inside world.”
Here I was, staring at my garden, with a bunch of unfinished jobs.
Not visible to an untrained eye, but to me, work needed to be done.
I love working from home.
Made it my sanctuary.
I got this rule - my home needs to be in top shape, so I can feel and be relaxed the minute I walk in.
Since now I work from home, that's even more amplified.
Long story short, had things around the house which needed attention.
Painting outdoor furniture.
The garden was not as lush as it could be.
Things I wanted to move out.
Plants needed to go in the ground from big pots.
Nothing major, yet quite a bit of small jobs.
I was procrastinating on that. For years, to say.
Then something happened a few months ago.
I got clear, crystal clear in my head about my business.
Everything made sense. (After I was a confused mess for two weeks.)
I used ‘The Why Code’ to realign myself.
True clarity kicked in.
And with that…
Plants got replanted.
Outdoor furniture got sorted.
Things got put away.
The garden went from overgrown to well-maintained.
It's green and lush now.
Cucumbers are already here and being eaten.
I knew looking at my surroundings my head wasn't as clear.
And I also knew when things around the house got clear, I was clear.
It’s that saying, “Your outside world matches your inside world.”
For years now I simply look at the results in my life (outside world) and then compare them with my story (inside world).
If the outside world doesn't match my expectations, then I know it's the story I need to change.
It's simple to spot what's working and not working.
Then it's just a matter of realigning the story based on my highest values.
Decision making is easy because it's aligned with me.
This is just one of the things we do in Freedom Code.
I know it's not typical, but it works.
It’s fast.
Anyway, cucumbers are very tasty :)
