- Running away doesn't work. Trust me, I tried.
Running away doesn't work. Trust me, I tried.
I noticed something at 3 am last night.
While rolling in bed because I had late coffee.
Because I worked my ass off.
Too much.
Pushed myself too hard.
But none of it mattered.
Because I wasn't really working on important things.
I was hiding.
From myself.
From feelings.
From truth.
You know that feeling?
When you're "crazy busy"...
But nothing important gets done.
When you're "productive"...
But spinning in circles.
When you're "focused on work"...
But actually running away.
I see this pattern everywhere:
CEOs buried in spreadsheets.
Entrepreneurs launching new projects.
Got a friend, buried himself in work so he doesn't have to deal with emotions.
All to avoid what's really happening inside.
The trapped emotions.
The uncomfortable truths.
The necessary conversations.
The real work.
Here's what most don't realize:
Those buried feelings?
They don't disappear.
They compound.
They intensify.
They leak into everything.
Your decisions.
Your relationships.
Your business growth.
Your actual productivity.
The truth?
Work makes an excellent hiding place.
It's socially acceptable.
It looks like dedication.
It feels like progress.
But it's often just advanced procrastination.
Because the real growth?
It happens when you stop running.
When you face what's inside.
When you release what's trapped.
I've seen it countless times:
Leaders who finally pause.
Process their emotions.
Face their fears.
Release their blocks.
And then?
Their work actually works.
Their time actually produces.
Their efforts actually matter.
Because they're no longer hiding.
They're creating.
Building.
Growing.
From clarity instead of chaos.
From purpose instead of panic.
From truth instead of avoidance.
The path forward isn't more work.
It's better work.
Honest work.
Real work.
Starting with the work inside.
Because you can't outrun yourself.
Trust me.
I've tried.
We all have.
Ready to stop running?

P.S. Those emotions you're avoiding? They're actually fuel for your next level. But only if you're willing to feel them first.
