4-Step sequence that turns your life and business into freedom and cash machine. ...
You don’t need more willpower. You need to understand what’s actually driving you.
Hello, beautiful humans!
Damir here. In this article, I’m going to walk you through the exact four-step system to win in life and business without adding more to your plate.
That’s right—no new skills, no sales courses, no productivity apps, no fancy tools like AI or VAs.
None of that.
Here’s the thing: 94% of business owners who come to me think their business is the problem.
They’re anxious, high on caffeine, and chasing the next deal, thinking, “If I can just close this one, everything will be okay.”
But the truth? It’s not their business. It’s the lack of alignment between their mind, heart, and connections—with themselves and their loved ones—that’s holding them back.
So, if you’re new to my world, let me tell you upfront: this isn’t about convincing you of anything. I’m not here to prove a point.
I’m just here to share what’s worked for me as a family man, business owner, and coach—and what’s worked for my clients. If this resonates with you, stick around.
And if not, that’s okay too.
Who Is This For (And Who It’s Not For)
Let’s get this straight: the Freedom Code isn’t for everyone.
This isn’t for you if:
You’re looking for a magic pill or miracle solution.
You’re willing to sacrifice your health, relationships, and happiness for money.
You like pointing fingers at others instead of taking responsibility for your results.
You don’t recognize that your inner world creates your outer world.
This is for you if:
You’re a successful business owner ready to take things to the next level.
You want a business that fits your life—not a life that fits your business.
You’re looking for freedom: more time, more energy, more connection with loved ones.
You want to wake up smiling, doing what you love, and reclaiming control over your life.
My Story: From Chaos to Clarity
I grew up in Croatia during turbulent times—a communist regime, war, and eventually, the army. At 19, I had no vision, no direction, and no clue what I wanted to do with my life.
So, I did what most people do: I chased money.
And while the money allowed me to travel and experience things I couldn’t have otherwise, it didn’t fix my inner struggles.
Low self-worth, anxiety, and a lack of purpose plagued me. I thought if I just worked harder and dreamed bigger, things would somehow fall into place. Spoiler alert: they didn’t.
It wasn’t until I stumbled upon personal development that I realized something needed to change. I started questioning my beliefs about success and business.
I began working on myself instead of chasing external validation.
That’s when everything shifted.
The Four Key Forces Holding Business Owners Back
Before we dive into the solution, let’s talk about the four invisible forces that hold most business owners back. These forces act as resistance, keeping you stuck in frustration, burnout, or indecision.
1. Lack of Clarity
Chaos thrives when there’s no clear direction. Many business owners have a vague idea of where they’re headed, but they’re chasing someone else’s dream—or no dream at all.
Without clarity, every decision feels overwhelming, and progress slows to a crawl.
2. The Resistance Loop
Fear, guilt, and shame are like handbrakes on your journey. These emotional blockages keep you from moving forward.
They create a resistance loop that keeps you stuck in self-doubt, anxiety, and hesitation.
3. Pattern Blindness
Procrastination, perfectionism, overthinking, and people-pleasing—sound familiar? These self-sabotaging patterns often operate on autopilot, keeping you from reaching your full potential.
4. The Solo Syndrome
Many business owners try to do everything on their own, unaware of their blind spots.
Without external accountability or strategic advice, they end up spinning their wheels.
The Four-Step Freedom Code
Let’s dive into the Freedom Code, a proven four-step system that will help you thrive in life and business while reclaiming your time, energy, and connection.
1. Alignment: Values-Driven Vision
The first step is alignment. Your vision needs to be driven by your values—what’s important to you, what excites you, and what gives you a deep sense of fulfillment.
Why Alignment Matters
A vision aligned with your values acts as a compass. It gives you clarity and direction, helping you make decisions that are in line with what truly matters to you. Without alignment, you end up chasing someone else’s dream—or worse, no dream at all.
Here’s a groundbreaking study to illustrate this:
A group of children learning piano was divided into three groups based on how long they wanted to play the piano.
The kids who said they wanted to play for life achieved five times better results than those who only wanted to play for a few months.
Why?
Because their long-term vision gave them a sense of purpose and direction.
The Role of Shadow Values
Now, let’s talk about shadow values, which are the hidden drivers behind your decisions.
These are the secondary gains your mind seeks—things like control, attention, or belonging.
While these values are powerful motivators, they often operate subconsciously and can sabotage your efforts if they’re not identified and aligned with your goals.
For example:
If your shadow value is control, you might micromanage your team or work long hours to maintain a sense of control, even if it’s not serving you.
If your shadow value is attention, you might overwork yourself to gain recognition, sacrificing your deeper need for connection with loved ones.
If your shadow value is belonging, you might people-please or overcommit, neglecting your own needs in the process.
Understanding your shadow values allows you to align them with your vision so they work for you, not against you.
When your vision aligns with your values—both conscious and subconscious—you unlock a powerful sense of clarity and purpose.
2. Optimization: Removing Resistance
Imagine pressing the gas and brake pedals at the same time.
That’s what it feels like to move forward in life while resistance holds you back.
The second step is about identifying and removing these invisible roadblocks.
The Three Types of Resistance
Trapped Emotions
Emotions like shame, guilt, fear, and anxiety act as emotional handbrakes.
These emotions are either tied to past events (e.g., shame and guilt) or future fears (e.g., anxiety and fear).
While we can’t change past events, we can change how we feel about them. Similarly, we can stop projecting worst-case scenarios into the future.
Limiting Beliefs
These are negative thoughts you believe to be true, like “I’m not good enough” or “This is too hard.”
They run your decision-making process until you consciously release them.
Values Conflict
This is an internal battle between conflicting priorities, like choosing between two business ideas or deciding whether to focus on work or family.
Values conflict creates decision paralysis, which can lead to procrastination, stress, and even depression.
The Study on Values Conflict
Here’s an eye-opening study: Researchers examined chronically depressed individuals to find the root cause of their depression.
In 90% of cases, the root cause was indecision caused by conflicting values.
These individuals didn’t have a clear, values-driven vision, which left them stuck in a cycle of paralysis and despair.
The solution?
Remove the resistance by aligning your decisions with your values and releasing emotional and mental blockages.
Once you do this, the path forward becomes clear and resistance-free.
3. Integration: Heart-Centered Habits
Habits aren’t just about discipline—they’re about emotional connection. Step three is about creating heart-centered habits that align with your values and make the journey as enjoyable as the destination.
Why Heart-Centered Habits Matter
When you’re emotionally connected to your habits, they stop feeling like chores and start feeling like natural extensions of your purpose. This makes them easier to stick to and more rewarding.
How to Create Heart-Centered Habits
Start by connecting your habits to your highest values and shadow values.
Ensure your habits align with your long-term vision and give you a sense of fulfillment.
Focus on habits that excite you and feel meaningful.
The Science Behind Habits
Your brain forms habits by strengthening neural pathways between neurons. When these pathways are wrapped in myelin, a protective coating, information travels faster, making the habit feel natural and automatic.
Here’s the kicker:
When you connect your habits to your long-term vision, your brain activates specific neurons that enhance focus and clarity. This allows you to form new habits in hours, not weeks.
For example, if you connect the habit of daily reflection to your value of personal growth, it becomes something you look forward to, not something you “have to do.”
4. Acceleration: Support for Success
No one succeeds alone. The fourth step is about leveraging support to accelerate your success.
Why Support Matters
Even the most successful athletes and entrepreneurs have a team behind them. Coaches, mentors, and accountability partners help you:
Spot blind spots you can’t see.
Stay consistent when motivation dips.
Strategize effectively for faster results.
The Power of Coaching
I personally have two coaches and a business partner who keep me sharp. Without them, I wouldn’t have the clarity and momentum I need to keep moving forward.
Coaches provide:
Strategic Advice: Helping you think differently and solve problems faster.
Accountability: Keeping you on track even when life gets busy.
Perspective: Offering insights you might not have considered.
Think about this: Even Formula 1 drivers have teams of up to 1,000 people supporting them.
Similarly, having the right support system can make the difference between spinning your wheels and accelerating toward your goals.
The New Way to Succeed
Here’s what you’ve learned today:
Start with alignment: Build a values-driven vision that excites and fulfills you.
Remove resistance: Clear the emotional and mental blocks holding you back.
Develop heart-centered habits: Create habits that align with your highest values and make the process enjoyable.
Leverage support: Find coaches, mentors, or a team to help you accelerate your success.
This system isn’t about working harder; it’s about working smarter. It’s about creating alignment between your business, personal life, and decision-making process.
