It was the end of June a few years ago. I was sitting in my home office, staring at the computer, asking myself “WHY?”
Why am I procrastinating?
Why am I not finishing this campaign?
Why am I avoiding this?
The realization hit me—it’s not my thing.
I had sold myself a story that I loved what I was doing, but deep down, I knew that wasn’t true.
So, I sabotaged my own success by not getting the job done. My soul, my subconscious, was screaming at me: “This isn’t your thing.”
It was a moment of truth.
And it was a moment of confusion too.
What now?
The answer was simple: Align with my purpose. Do something I truly, deeply, and honestly love to do.
I always knew what it was—I just didn’t listen to it. You know yours too.
If you don’t listen to your inner voice, you create the perfect breeding ground for low self-worth.
When you’re not living your true calling, you don’t put your full effort into anything.
You might think you’re trying, but you’re not.
It feels unnatural.
You don’t get the results you think you should.
And then self-doubt creeps in:
"I’m not good enough."
"What’s wrong with me?"
"Can I even do this?"
All of these thoughts feed into low self-worth. And once you’re there, you’re in a real mess.
Self-sabotage becomes inevitable because your brain will work overtime to make those thoughts your reality.
It will find “proof” that something is wrong with you.
It will find “proof” that you’re not good enough.
That proof will show up in sabotaged relationships, finances, business, time management, and even your mental and physical health.
You can stay in that misery like I did for years, or you can take the path of aligning with your purpose and raising your self-worth.
If your purpose isn’t crystal clear right now, tone it down. Focus on what your purpose is this year, not for your whole life. Purpose evolves, so don’t overthink it.
It’s just a simple statement that answers what you do and why you do it. Keep it straightforward.
Self-worth is simply your internal view of yourself. To raise your worth, you first have to see your worth.
The worksheets will help, but here’s a super-fast way: Write out 500–1,000 reasons why you’re already worthy.
This exercise will raise your self-worth in a matter of hours by using scientifically proven methods and “neuro-linking.”
In other words, you make Mother Nature work for you—on autopilot.
Anyway, I’m off to the UK tomorrow to lead a psilocybin retreat.
It’s one of the fastest ways I’ve found to cut through self-sabotage and connect with your true self.
More on that in the future ;)
Cheers,
Damir
